Almost every illustration in our training programs is animated. Here is a brilliant animation of a pilot-operated relief valve. I edited a number of renders together and made this short animation showing how the valve operates. Pilot-Operated Relief Valve
A pilot-operated relief valve uses a separate control, the pilot, to regulate the setpoint. The valve will open and close based on the pressure applied to the pilot. This type of valve is often used in applications where precise control of the pressure is required.
